How To Pull Off The Winning Interview
By Doc Vetter

Ok, so you've sent out resume' after resume' and you have finally gotten an interview with a company that you think you would like to work for.

How do you prepare so that you have the best chance of getting the job? I mean they have other people to interview and some may be more qualified than you. What if there is a way to get the job anyway?

You already have the qualifications to do the job that is what got you the interview. Now you have to compete with all the other qualified applicants. How do you set yourself apart? How do you make yourself so valuable that they just have to offer you the job? How do you pull off the Winning Interview?

The answer starts in one place. It starts in the place where your competition will not be paying attention. It starts in your mind, that's right it starts in your attitude.

In this article we're going to discuss a few ways when practiced and combined will set you apart from all the other applicants and get you the job you want.

Before we get started the first thing to consider is what is the best frame of mind to be in during the interview? Most people say when they are relaxed, confident, friendly and comfortable they are at their best.

Here is an Accelerated Success Strategy to use in the Interview: Put yourself in the frame of mind that you are meeting a long lost friend, one that you haven't seen for ages. Get curious about them and what's going on with them. You might think, "What have you been doing with yourself all this time?"

When you walk in with this "State of Mind" you not only portray relaxed, confident, friendly and comfortable but the Interviewer feels, relaxed, confident, friendly and comfortable toward you and they don't even know why. It just feels good.

This way you don't have to learn how to create Rapport, like talking about the fish on the wall, you simply assume Rapport and the outcome of Rapport is "trust". They trust you immediately when you treat them like a long lost friend.

Here is another Accelerated Success Strategy to use, it is language based and presupposes that you meet all the requirements and are the best person for the job:

"Tell me about the way you see the perfect person for this position?

After they answer;

"As we sit here, looking at me as the perfect candidate for this position out of all the things you like in the perfect person what's the one thing that you can look back on, as you feel good, and say that was one of the best decisions I've ever made?"

Remember people do what they do for what's in it for them. Beyond what the company wants interviewers hire people that make them feel good. These types of questions do that and they keep Rapport and trust is built toward you.

There are some advanced strategies beyond these and yet these are some of the easiest to put into practice and get the best job possible.
