Our client, a well known manufacturing company located in Stafford, TX has an immediate temp to hire opening for an experience Accounting Clerk. This person’s main responsibility is to perform general Oracle and internally required tasks related to customer set up and maintenance and customer credit.Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain complete, accurate and logical customer data base. Includes:
o Add new customers meeting criteria as requested by the Sales Department.
o Work with Sales department to add customers initially not meeting established criteria.
o Maintenance of old customers as directed by the Accounting or Sales Departments.
o Review customer payment history and recommend adjustments to customer credit limit as appropriate.
o Review and release orders on credit hold.
o Communicate credit issues to the appropriate sales personnel.
o Check credit references provided by customer and recommend appropriate credit terms to Supervisor
o Assist in establishment of valid credit limits
o Review existing customer base for appropriate set up.
REQUIREMENTS:
• KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION:
o High school diploma or equivalent.
o Knowledgeable in the use of Oracle
o Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
o Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• EXPERIENCE:
o 3+ years accounts experience in general accounting environment (accounts payable and/or accounts receivable) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
